Led Numerous Product Launches

  • Led or acted as a key driver in numerous first ever product rollouts, including Travelers ClickSM (online surety bond issuance), The Wrap® (modular executive liability policy), eBond (online executive liability premium indications), AgentHQ (agency web portal), and the first Identity Theft policy. 

Mergers & Acquisitions / Change Management

  • Part of due diligence teams when Travelers considered acquiring Merritt Syndicate (second largest Lloyds Syndicate at that time).
  • Drove the internal and external communications and marketing strategies for numerous mergers/acquisitions, and organizational redesign/BPO initiatives, including Travelers’ acquisitions of Aetna, Reliance Surety, St. Paul Surety and the St. Paul FPS Division.

Innovation & Technology

  • Selected as first Account Executive to pilot market and sell Travelers’ Client Access Risk Management (CARMA) system – the first online claim information system offered by an insurance company.
  • First Manager in the history of Travelers to hire an Underwriter to work out of their home.
  • Vigorously lobbied to have Travelers Specialty chosen as the division to be profiled during the debut of the first ever Travelers public website.
  • Led the first business team in Travelers to custom design specifications for Autonomy Interwoven, a tool allowing business users to manage their own web content without dependence on IT.

  • Insurance Clients – Agway (Southern States Cooperative), Bally Technologies, ConAgra Foods (Healthy Choice, Hunt’s, Swiss Miss), Newell Rubbermaid (Graco, Levolor, Sharpie), Illinois Tool Works, and Walgreen Co.
  • Manufacturing Clients – Bausch & Lomb, Gerber Scientific.

Marketing and Underwriting of Insurance and Related Services 

  • Insurance – National Account Retrospectively Rated Plans, Umbrella & Excess, Healthcare/Medical Malpractice Liability, Professional Liability, Management Liability, E&S/Specialty, Surety, ID Theft, Cyber Risk.
  • Services – Claim, Risk Management, Web-based Transactions, Policy Issuance, Reinsurance Brokerage.

Distributor Management

  • Managed diverse distribution systems, including direct sales force, retail agents, wholesale brokers, program administrators, managing general agents, reinsurers, and consultants.
  • Developed and chaired the first ever Producer Council for the Travelers Bond division.
