  • Co-led or acted as a key driver in numerous “first ever” product rollouts, including the industry’s first Identify Theft policy, Travelers ClickSM (online surety bond issuance), The Wrap® (modular executive liability policy), eBond (online executive liability premium indications), and AgentHQ (agency web portal).

Mergers & Acquisitions / Change Management

  • Part of due diligence teams when Travelers considered acquiring Merritt Syndicate (second largest Lloyds Syndicate at that time).

  • Drove the internal and external communications and marketing strategies for numerous mergers/acquisitions, and organizational redesign/BPO initiatives, including Travelers’ acquisitions of Aetna, Reliance Surety, St. Paul Surety and the St. Paul FPS Division.

Innovation & Technology

  • Selected as first Account Executive to pilot market and sell Travelers’ Client Access Risk Management (CARMA) system – the first online claim information system ever offered by an insurance company.

  • First Manager in the history of Travelers to hire an Underwriter to work out of their home.

  • Vigorously lobbied to have Travelers Specialty chosen as the division to be profiled during the debut of the first ever Travelers public website.

  • Led the first business team in Travelers to custom design specifications for Autonomy Interwoven, a tool allowing business users to manage their own web content without dependence on the IT department.

  • Managed diverse distribution systems, including direct sales force, retail agents, wholesale brokers, program administrators, managing general agents, reinsurers, and consultants.

  • Developed and chaired the first ever Producer Council for the Travelers Bond division.
